Brussels, 13/07/2023.- Javier Collado Cortés, General Director of the INCYDE Foundation (Instituto Cameral para la Creación y Desarrollo de la Empresa), visited the office of the Delegation of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce to the EU in order to present the upcoming challenges faced by the foundation.

The INCYDE Foundation, created in 1999, is an institution created under the initiative of the Spanish Chambers of Commerce and whose objective is the promotion of entrepreneurship training, the improvement of entrepreneurs' qualifications and the creation and consolidation of companies.

Collado Cortés explained that the fundamental pillars on which the foundation is based are "the generation of employment, innovation and support for SMEs to adapt to new market needs. To this end, we have a Network of more than 100 Business Incubators throughout Spain, which makes it the largest European reference centre for knowledge and applied research".

The Network of Incubators offers space and advice to new entrepreneurs for 2 years, with the possibility of extending for a further year. These infrastructures, which are only paid for as "space assignment", allow to start the activity in more favourable conditions, and to consolidate it, through the incubation work provided in the centre.

The INCYDE Foundation is an intermediate body and beneficiary of the European Social Fund (ESF) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

The INCYDE Network is firmly committed to business innovation and the transfer of technology and knowledge, and provides an optimal working environment based on continuous learning and access to non-bank financing, thus improving the competitiveness of its companies and modernising the Spanish productive fabric.

Pilar Ruiz Huélamo stated that "nowadays, Spanish SMEs are not only willing to face, but also to successfully overcome the crisis experienced in recent years, the growing inflation and the challenges ahead. Therefore, projects such as those implemented by the INCYDE Foundation contribute to achieving this ambition".
